Canadians Will Have Access To Winter Classic Tickets

NEW YORK (November 7, 2008) – Hockey fans in Canada beginning next week will be able to enter an online promotion for an opportunity to purchase tickets to NHL Winter ClassicTM 2009, the National Hockey League (NHL) announced today. Details will be released next week.
The online promotion for Canadian residents will determine who will have an opportunity to purchase some of the limited number of public tickets to the January 1 game between the Chicago Blackhawks and Detroit Red Wings at Wrigley Field.
There was an issue brought up today which did not allow Canadian hockey fans to purchase tickets. The NHL realized it and reacted quickly.
