The Vancouver Canucks received some awful news on the injury front Monday when they learned that they would be without defenceman Kevin Bieksa for up to three months with severed tendons in his left ankle.

Seems weird, I know Don Cherry showed off some sport socks to be worn in skates that would help against this, but you would think that they could develop a hockey sock that goes over that could have this?
Even if there was thin wires sewn vertically or something?
Seems like an injury that should be preventable.
Man that would hurt though. Holy ouch.

poor guy, he had his calves sliced open not too long ago, and now he gets his tendons sliced. This guy cant get a break, hopefully he will be able to recover soon
