The Washington Capitals have signed goaltender Jose Theodore to a two-year contract.
Update 3:25pm ET: TSN reports that Theodore’s deal is for 2 years, $9 million.

There goes any hope of the Caps improving next year. A step back if you ask me. Should have thrown a bunch on $$$ at Huet, but now they have Huet nor it looks like Kolzig.

Is Kolzig signed by Tampa Bay yet or does Huet come in and steal that slot? Avalanche with Raycroft may still consider Huet or does he look towards Ottawa and LA?

The Caps were doing so well and they sign a goalie who does not perform in money games. 4.5 mil per year suggests the Caps believe he can....I don’t see it
