Per Bob McKenzie’s Twitter,
Washington puts Michael Nylander on waivers.
His salary cap hit is almost $4.9M and it runs thru the end of next season.

I was really excited when the Caps signed him, but that didn’t work out, huh? Sad to see a talented player end up in this situation, especially one who chose DC because he loves the area, not because it was the best money. I wonder if McPhee knows someone wants to take him on reentry. Hope it works out for Nylander and for the Caps.
