Center Attention For Flames

from Darren Dreger of TSN,

However, as the team emerges from the All-Star break with visions of a Northwest Division title and a 100 point season, Flames general manager Darryl Sutter recognizes he has at least one missing piece…

Sources say the Flames and Florida Panthers have already discussed Calgary’s interest in Olli Jokinen, but the asking price is high - believed to be forward Alex Tanguay and a young player or a prospect.

Forsberg, Sundin and Jokinen are longshots and may never be available or attainable.

However, there is a sense the Flames see a lot of promise in this season, and while Feb. 26 may come and go without significant change, there is an appetite to swing for the fence with less than a month to go.

Do you seriously think, Paul, that you are serving a worth-while purpose by linking stories with zero insight of your own? A 14 year old kid in his parent’s basement with time on his hands could do that. Stop bashing Eklund and his fellow bloggers, who actually originate some of their own stories, and actually have something to say.

You, sir, are a joke and a biased joke at that.

You seem to like what others say, because you never produce anything on your own. Link away Paul!

“John” must be on of Dwayne’s followers, but at least we know that he isn’t Dwayne, considering his lack of typos.

I am in no way associated with Eklund, I just read his site. He’s not always accurate, or even close to accurate, but he’s providing some food for thought and his bloggers are some of the best on the net.

Unfortunately, I also came across this site. I am perfectly capable of browsing my own websites thanks, Paul, but keep trying to play Hockey Google.

This sounds eerily familiar.  At least you don’t deny that “Eklund” is Dwayne.  Paul does a great job gathering the best hockey info on the net into one convenient place, and when his own articles and opinions are posted, the quality of the writing and insight is superb.

A month-old Jack in the Box burger can be considered “food” too, I suppose.

Back on topic: What the hell does Florida get out of getting Alex Tanguay back in a deal? If they’re going to finally deal Jokinen, their franchise guy, won’t the return be a little more substantial?

Johnny Boy. Johnny Boy. Relax there bud. If coming to a site where someone has spent all day scouring the Web for hockey stories for you isn’t your cup of tea, well, then just don’t come here. Hang out over at Rumormonger Central and get your thrills reading the latest BS from a guy who has to make stuff up in order to get geniuses like you to give him your hard-earned money.

The rest of us will be over here reading the real news (okay, except for what The Chief says) and apprecaiting a guy who gets up long before we do so we can spend most of our day workin’, playin’ and drinkin’ ginger ales.

That’s the main reason I visit this site (the one-stop shopping for hockey related articles).

Keep up the great work, Paul!

Greg, I agree, and that’s why I don’t think this deal will ever get done.

Besides, the Flames have enough scoring currently up front, how about shoring up the defence corps (hello Jay Feaster, do you want Cory Sarich back, the Flames will happily take Dan Boyle).

Okay, I’ll stop dreaming smile

I know you don’t need the encouragement, but I for one am very happy for the hard work you do Paul. A2Y and CandB are terrific too and I’m very thankful to have this site. Nothin’ wrong with being “hockey’s google”...whatever that means.

Hard earned money? If 20 bucks for insider information (if you don’t like his info, there is a chat room thats a lot of fun and forum as well) about my favourite sport that I spend literally hours discussing and reading about… wow, if 20 dollars a year is hard earned money then maybe you should quit this Hockey Google operation there Paul.

Joh, You seem to have a problem deciding who is responding back to you and who you are writing to.
Maybe that is your problem!

...20 bucks for insider information…

Insider information? The only “insider” info Dwayne spits out is from the inside of his own feeble brain. He’s a hype artist, Johnny Boy.

The fact that you spend “literally hours” there every day is testimony to your complete lack of (1) a life and/or (2) the ability to differentiate between news and nonsense.

And for those of us who are “rich” in brains and common sense and not in money (as you intimate you are), yah, twenty bucks is something to think about before we hand it over to knuckleheads like Dwayne.
