The National Hockey League (NHL) today announced it has renewed deals with U.S. cable and satellite distributors DirecTV, DISH Network®, and iN DEMAND Networks to distribute NHL Center Ice, the League’s out-of-market subscription package. iN DEMAND Networks, which is owned by Comcast, Cox Communications and Time Warner, makes NHL Center Ice available to its cable affiliates throughout the United States.
Throughout the regular season, NHL Center Ice provides fans the opportunity to watch up to 1,000 NHL live games, many of which will be offered in High-Definition. Select games from the Stanley Cup Playoffs (all games subject to local blackout) also will be available.
Fans in the United States will get a special glimpse of NHL Center Ice through a free preview which is available now through Oct. 9.
To purchase NHL Center Ice, contact your participating local cable or satellite provider or log on to NHL.com for more information. If ordered by Oct. 9, an “early bird” rate applies, saving fans $20. Pricing may vary by distributor.
“Every night can be a hockey night with up to 40 games available per week through NHL Center Ice,” said Jody Shapiro, Group Vice President, Television & Media Ventures, NHL. “We are thrilled to renew our distribution deals with DirecTV, DISH Network, and iN DEMAND Networks to best serve our fans.”
DirecTV and iN DEMAND Networks has offered NHL Center Ice since 1999, and the DISH Network has offered it since 2002.

Thanks PuckHound61
But i cant see Germany there.... I could watch the Preseason Games with CenterIce Online but i cant find Germany in the Available List
NHL Center Ice Online is available in the U.S., Canada, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Guam, Puerto Rico, Australia, Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, and the Virgin Islands, U.S.
Does anybody know more ?

You are correct Monty. It looks like countries in Europe are not able to receive CI Online.
If I do hear of anything new, I will post it on KK.

I’m still the same place with WOW here in NE Ohio, “Still in negotiations” as of last night...maybe will see something more today...but doubt it. Anyone in my boat using WOW (Wide Open West)?

Same situation in Central Ohio. WOW cable rep told me last night that the reason they are not carrying it yet is that negotiations are going on w/ the Nhl Network! I dont think anyone at WOW Cable has a clue.

I’m also a WOW subscriber in the Chicago suburbs, and was told pretty definitively this morning that they will NOT be carrying Center Ice package this year. I got the same explanation as the above poster - that the NHL is mandating that they carry the NHL Network on basic cable, and that the price tag isn’t favorable to WOW. I tend to blame the NHL here more than WOW - people who aren’t hockey fans aren’t going to watch the NHL Network, but the mandate to carry it is alienting fans who want the Center Ice package. Looks like I’ll be watching online this season.

On Directv NHL Center Ice HD channels appeared following each SD Center Ice channel. (i.e. two of each, 764, 765, etc.) But there were no games on them and the guide says “To Be Announced.” Any word on what is going on here?
