Chicago Talking To A Few Teams

General manager Dale Tallon said Monday he’s still working on a deal to bring in a veteran defenseman.
“I’m hitting the phones here trying to do something,” Tallon said. “Our young guys possibly need a veteran guy to take some minutes away from some of the kids. I’m always looking to find someone who can help and can fit into our big picture too.”
Tallon, who said, “I’m talking to a few different teams,” indicated the Hawks’ eight-game skid that dropped them to 14th in the Western Conference isn’t a factor in making a trade.
