Wow the Wild have a really tough lineup now… Fedorek, Simon, and Boogaard.  Although Fridge is tentative to drop the gloves with the big boys these days, that is three legit heavies.  And Aaron Voros to boot!

Goons.  How do you have Marian Gaborik, Brian Rolston, and Pavol Demitra and surround yourself with goons who take dumb penalties and would fight their own mother for the last biscuit at dinner and not get some defensive-minded scoring help for those three?

They had the stuff Florida wanted for Jokinen, why the heck didn’t they live a little?  They watched Colorado go nuts (however much they’ve actually improved) and got Chris Simon.  I’m mad and I’m not even a Wild fan.

Hey, he’s our new top line center.

Russo’s blog made it sound like we didn’t have the stuff FLA wanted for Jokinen.

I’m not sure why this trade was made, unless Boogie’s back is worse that everyone’s letting on. He may be done for season, and Simon’s a fairly cheap add on. The team has always liked grabbing tough guys when it has the chance.
