I’ve got Hank Williams’ song “my buckets’ got a hole in it” stuck in my head.
Scratch Leino, have Meech play forward and bring up Kindl.

Someone forgot the live chicken for Jobu.

Sorry, I thought a live cow would give us more insurance.
At least now the “Guys Gone/Injured in The Last Three Years” roster have someone better to play center.

Trade for Brind’Amour!

Cut his salary in half and I"d consider it right now. But not at a $3m cap hit.

Sonuva…... whoever brought Jobu into the KK-A2Y reality needs to atone for that.

holy craptwat batman!
we should just trade every asset we can muster up for kovalchuk… who cares about the future… there will be no future for me if i have to continue watching this nightmare.
i’m going to go ahead and call it right now - we will lose either Dats, Z, or Lids longterm during the olympics. because it’s THAT kind of season.
piss.

I was kidding, but yeah, I agree with you. He’d be at least as effective as Tuzzi for equal pay and it would solve our apparent lack of centers.

Put the circus out, have the other 9 forwards trap. It’s what we’re down to, it would seem.

wah wah wah, this happened to the pens last season and look what happened to them. If the wings have enough heart (and i think they do), they can make it through.
Posted by Chase on 12/10/09 at 04:25 PM ET
the who? who exactly are you talking about… I assumed it was going to be some team we give a crap about, but then I kept reading and rereading your post… and well, it’s not.
so go away and let us suffer in peace douchesword.
Posted by perfection from LaLaLand on 12/10/09 at 04:58 PM ET
Well if you’re perfect, you would have known I was talking about Star Trek. But let me guess your reaction to that…
“OMG a nerd who likes hockey is talking about trek. lolz!”
so go away and let us suffer in peace douchesword.
Way to stay classy, perfect boy. I’d fire back, but I’ll play nice and just tell you enjoy your suffering. As a fellow Wings fan, I think it sucks as well, but I’m not wishing on stupid “But I wanna see them win now” trades that will destroy the team a year later like you.

It’s So Cold in the D

The Penguins weren’t imploding due to injuries. The wings are down 5 key players and one scrub. That’s almost a quarter of a team.

Everyone should chip in and get this for the chief for the holidays.

mrfluffy… comrade… i wasn’t talking to you or responding to you. while i see how you may have inferred that please read the post that’s actually above mine… the one I was actually responding to. and you will see how “class” was not in order. i had to speak in a language he would understand see.
sheesh… like i would talk that way to a fellow wings fan… relax
Posted by perfection from LaLaLand on 12/10/09 at 11:31 PM ET
Yeah, cuz you really had to be a dick to the guy who said that he thinks the Wings have enough heart to make it through the injury mess that they’re in right now…
Posted by Garth on 12/11/09 at 09:15 AM ET
yep… don’t need romantic patronizing from penguins fans in a time of grief.
i’ve kept my optimism all season but frankly, i’ve had it. this is getting to be too much. i think the wings will be ok as well, but it’s really getting tough to watch. this team has been stellar for around 15 years, night in and night out, the most wins of any other team. this year, they look normal… and with the injuries, worse than normal. it’s really tough to digest. i haven’t given up, and i’ll be optimistic again after one good game, it’s just every man down is becoming that much harder to take. it is to be expected that i would be a bit testy… so deal with it.
Posted by perfection from LaLaLand on 12/11/09 at 10:42 AM ET
We only have Datsyuk, Zetterberg and Lidstrom left (of the “stars”), and #5 has been on a scoring drought for most of the season. #13 isn’t doing much better, and #40 is off his pace.
any word on Lilja’s headaches?

Gotcha. Thanks, and sorry for the friendly fire. These are testy, troubling times. I think us Wings fans know, along with those teams in our own division, that the only reason the Wings are on the outside looking in right now is the amount of injuries. Like someone else said, our IR list could kick any other team’s IR list. One complete scoring line, along a 3rd liner and a defense pair with one helluva shot blocker and one who’ll knock your arse in to next season and score on you at the same time.
