Detroit Red Wings forward Danny Cleary will miss the last four games of the exhibition season with an upper-body injury, general manager Ken Holland has told the Free Press.
Holland said hopes are that Cleary will be ready for the Oct. 7 season opener against Ottawa. Cleary was hurt Friday, when the Wings played the Philadelphia Flyers. He has been on the ice since, including for today’s practice.
