from Puck-rakers,
With less than 24 hours to go before the NHL trade deadline, the Blue Jackets are continuing to negotiate a contract extension with captain Adam Foote, while a possible trade for Tampa Bay center Brad Richards remains in play.
Blue Jackets general manager Scott Howson expects to speak with Foote’s agent, Rick Curran, either later tonight or early Tuesday.
The two sides are working on a two-year contract worth between $3 million and $4 million per season.
