Here’s the footage of Sidney Crosby’s fight with Andrew Ference tonight. It’s a Gordie Howe Hat Trick for the illustrious Penguin. From HockeyFights.com:

Hey, I give the kid credit, he held his own, got in a couple of good shots and didn’t embarrass himself, unlike a certain great one when he tried chucking knuckles early in his NHL career. Of course, Gary Bettman probably had a heart attack seeing this.

Not too shabby for a forward, bloodied his guy too, he must be taking lessons from George.

Still think Gaborik getting 5 is more impressive...hmph

Lol, flyersfan, only a complete tool with zero hockey knowledge would make such an idiotic statement, then again, you are a flyer fan, LOL!
Why’d you trade Eager? It wasn’t his fault he lost a fight, badly, to a forty+ year-old man, LOL!!!!
He played for FILTHadelphia, of course he’d look like SH*T!!!

Yes Steve, Gaborik’s five goals is probably more impressive than Crosby’s first fight, but unfortunately for you this wasn’t a discussion of the most impressive hockey events of the night, not that you noticed. Good work pointing out things that aren’t being considered in a discussion.

I don’t know...fighting with a visor on doesn’t impress me.

They both had visors on, so it was even to me. Crosby knocked Ference’s off with a punch.

Did Crosby get punched in the lips? Was there blood all over his mouth? It looked like he had been drinking Kool-Aid or something.

Keep whining Flyers fans. I guess you guys are upset that I just proved you all wrong once again. I just wish Biron had the balls to do what Ference did.

Crosby dropped the gloves.
Then he cried and cried until somebody gave him the gloves back.
Then Mario gave him his bottle, burped him, and put him down for nappy time.

Jeez, you would think he did it all the time, from the way people are reacting. I think it’s about time. He should have done this last season a few times, just to establish himself. I bet he gets a little more room and a little more respect from other players now, not because he “won,” but because he finally did it. It’s past time he fought a few of his own battles.
Just don’t hurt your hands, Sid.

Crosby a fighter??? He does it all, a goal 2 assists and then gets into a fight. Looks like he got the upper hand also. MVP all the way… There isn’t a player in the world who can touch this guy. All at only 20 years old....
