In case you do not follow me on Twitter, the Penguins announced today that Sidney Crosby will meet with the media tomorrow at 12:30pm.

I tend to agree with the guys like Bob McKenzie and Rob Rossi.
Crosby hasn’t spoken to the media since April. All summer, we’ve heard updates from everybody but him. It’s time that he gets up and just gives an update himself as to his condition.
I would not expect to learn anything we either didn’t know or didn’t assume already.

I can’t see this presser as a good thing.
If he’s ready for camp, then a simple update via his agent would suffice.
If he’s giving a press conference I’d bet he’s not doing very well.
But like JJ said, I doubt we get any meaningful info. More double-talk and fluff to keep the masses at bay.

He was slated to arrive in town about a week before camp… (vets report on 9/16). Crosby usually is available upon his return to town each summer. In this case, just a chance for him to update status, fill everyone in on what he has been up too etc. Not good or bad, just an informational session would be my guess…

I don’t expect to hear anything new.
‘Skating, preparing like normal…still having occasional symptoms…making progress, but still have a little way to go…doctors say full recovery, but it just takes time…no timetable’
