Crosby Not Playing Like Crosby

via NBC Sports:
A frustrated Sidney Crosby took a whack at Kirk Maltby’s skate as Game 1 ended, tired of what he called the nonstop chirping by the Red Wings forward. So far, it might be Crosby’s best shot of the Stanley Cup finals.
Blanketed by Henrik Zetterberg whenever he steps on the ice, Crosby has gone from being the best player in the playoffs to being a concern to the Pittsburgh Penguins because of his lack of offense.
He’s not playing badly, but he’s not playing like Sidney Crosby.

The entire Pens club looks like they’re pressing. They’ve carried a lot of the play, but have zip to show for it. Dem’s da breaks, sometimes.

I don’t think they would let him on the crew - he’d make the regular announcers look bad in comparison.

Wrong. Crosby *is* playing like Crosby.
He’s coasting along, waiting for the officials to give him everything… tryign to cherry-pick for a breakaway, and whining after EVERY single whistle.
Maybe if he’d be willing to take the punishment by going into the slot, and willing to fight in the corners for the puck… maybe, just MAYBE the series might be 1-1 or something.

I don’t know - petulant, whiny, taking cheap shots when he doesn’t get his way - sounds exactly like his typical game.
