DeBoer Not Happy With Non-Call On Boston Goal

from Mike Mazeo of ESPN New York,

Devils coach Peter DeBoer expressed his frustration over what he felt should’ve been a penalty prior the Bruins’ go-ahead goal on Thursday night.

Seconds before Nathan Hornton’s 17th goal of the season on the power play at 7:10 of the third period broke a 1-all tie, the Boston winger knocked into Matt Taormina at the blue line, sending the New Jersey defenseman sprawling to the ice.

“That was a blatant interference at the blue line, our defenseman falls down and they choose to ignore it, that’s the game right there,” DeBoer said following his team’s 4-1 loss.

4-1 loss…and he complains about that? which had really no effect in the play as the defenseman was back up and in position(i guess…not good position, but thats not the fault of the “trip”) long before the goal is scored. Marginal penalty at best…
