from Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press,
Bertuzzi ranks second on the team with 12 points entering tonight’s game against Colorado, most recently setting up game-winning goals in the past two games to give him 10 assists. His second assist in Thursday’s 6-2 rout over the Oilers was a slick move that saw him go from his natural left shot to a right one in order to find Danny Cleary, prompting coach Mike Babcock to think of Gordie Howe when asked about the move Friday.
“Gordie would be proud, eh? It was just a good play to get the puck through and Clears was able to bury it,” Babcock said….
“He is good defensively for us—we can count on him,” Babcock said. “You can play him against anyone—you don’t think about him that way, you just think he’s going to get the job done.
“The other thing about him is, it doesn’t matter where you play him, or who you play him with, he doesn’t complain, he just plays. I’d like him to shoot more, because he’s got a real good shot. Also, just to go to the net hard. But to me, he’s got to be feeling really good about himself.”

Bertuzzi’s 12 points are good for fourth on the Wings, not 2nd.
He does lead all Wings with a +10 rating though.
