from the Arizona Republic,
Positives, such as the Coyotes’ Derek Morris, can easily be overlooked when a team starts a season slowly.
The Coyotes, with only two wins in seven games, are trying to put things together, but Morris has had things together from the opening bell, a leader of a defense that has been the team’s strength.
“He’s been unreal for us,” coach Wayne Gretzky said. “From Day 1 in training camp, he came in in phenomenal shape, better than he ever has . . . He’s always in good shape, but it seems like he’s in better shape this year.”
