I feel bad for his knee, and it’s good there’s no mention of a concussion.

What a left by a righty.

Could mean an opportunity for Ray Emery or Mike Smith.

If it weren’t for bad luck, Di Pietro wouldn’t have any luck at all.

Only DiPietro could blow a knee getting punched in the face.

Hahahahahaha.

Man, is Brent Johnson a bad ass or what?  He’ll be a legend in Pittsburgh for forever, now.  Unbelievable.

If only the Islanders had a cheap, yet capable, replacement goaltender they’d plucked off waivers…

Did Garth Snow take out his disappointment over the Nabby deal on DiPietro?

Its really not good for hockey goalies to be made of glass.  They break a lot…

Geez, now I feel bad.  As they say, it’s funny until somebody gets hurt.

Have to ask:

Is this the worst contract in NHL history?

Yashin and Redden were really terrible signings, but neither of them missed 60 games per year and could have been argued to be the worst player in the league at their respective positions when they did play.

Depends on how you look at it.  From the Islander’s perspective, they’re still paying Yashin but their insurance has payed for most of DiPietro’s contract.
