Heaton, I am going with your hunch!

Would you wear a hockey jersey to a game?

I subscribe to the “over 25” theory. Once you reach age 25, the jersey goes into the closet. I am probably in the minority when it comes to this topic, but I wear my team colors in my heart, not on my back.

Paul,
What makes you say that…?  I love jerseys and collect them.  It makes me sad to think that in less than 5 years I should stop wearing them to games.  I’ve always liked seeing a dad and his son at the game together wearing their team’s jersey and cheering them on together.  Just wanted to see if you could elaborate on that opinion.
Thanks,
Jeff

It is just a matter of personal taste NHLJ.  Maybe I have witnessed too many guys in too many tight fitting sweaters.  You know, with the belly being highlighted and the jersey material being stretched to the max!

I don’t have any children so I have not even thought about going to a game with a child and you bring up a good point.

Thanks for the quick response.  I have also seen those gys a few too many times as well.  I can see it from both sides, but I’ll get back to you if my opinion changes when before I hit 25…

What about women?  Does the “over 25” rule apply to female fans as well?

(Not that I have any hockey jerseys, because I hate pink - I just wear team colors in regular clothes.)

Not even going there Baroque.  Experience tells me to avoid that topic!

Of course, I turn it over to you for advice!

I, too, am concerned about the “over 25” rule.

And I imagine you’d particularly disapprove of my eventual plan to paint the exterior of my entire house in Canucks colours… a giant #19 on the roof…

“Where birds can poop on it?”

Can’t be any worse than #19’s frequent experience with the Vancouver fans and media.  Seagull poop might be a refreshing change. smile
