This guy is right on the edge....but I really believe he knows where the line is.....He gets his stick up but he isn’t going to slice anybody up..plus he will never fights anybody except lightweights. They give this guy more credit than he deserves and he loves it

Avery is a disgrace to himself, his team, and the League, this from a diehard Rangers fan who never wanted to see him back on Broadway.

Avery is lucky he lives in a large, large “dog eat dog” world because if his actions were this a-social in and out of the game in any society that promotes real egalitarianism - he would have been deserted or executed already on consensus.
we can already see that most of the league wants nothing to do with him. it speaks volumes what the Dallas locker room did to him.
he has vast range of rules and money makers protecting him from being severely hurt out there.

Does Cherry mispronounce European names on purpose? Has that become part of his schtick?

but he’s a good ole Canadian boy who’s just misunderstood. Right, Don? Right?

Avery compared to Rodman is a very good example. In Detroit Rodman was a normal human then went insane afterward. Avery is off the edge and does anyone think he is going to settle down? This kind of cheap crap is inexcusable. How much longer until he REALLY screws up in a way that not only makes a fool of himself, but hurts someone? I honestly hope he gets his a$$ handed to him before that happens.

Never thought that Dallas or NY was a good fit for Avery. He needs the sort of environment like what the Bulls gave Rodman, a veteran, driven set of player and the right coach to let him know where the line is. Sure, Avery will always be a jerk and make bonehead plays, but in the right environment, he can at least be effective and manageable.
Maybe I’m wrong though. I mean, I liked Avery when he was with Detroit. I thought he’d be a pretty solid character/role player guy that could score a few goals, scrap when needed and get opposing players off their game. Don’t really understand what happened to him after he got traded to LA. Maybe Hollywood got to him.
