Jeezes, talk about getting butt hurt when someone knocks on Ovechkin.

Not to mention the real jokes are the fools who think Ovechkin is the best player in the league. I think he’s the best one zone player in the league. But the guy is a joke in the d-zone, just like Kovalchuk. The have zero d-zone responsibilities and we’ve all seen why, they’re putrid in their own end.
And his ego prohibits him from co-existing with another superstar player. Semin? Backstrom? Complimentary players and nothing more.
His gloating will get his ass kicked, and it will be a pleasure to watch.
Frankly, I hate Pittsburgh, but I hope they knock the Caps out of the playoffs in the first round, just so I can laugh at their bandwagon jumping d-bag fans. If someone doesn’t get them in the first round, Brodeur will shut down that jackass. Do you really think Theodore can take a team to the Cup? Hahahahahaha!!!!!

Don’s message to the kids:
Don’t act like Ovechkin. Don’t celebrate your goals.
Instead, act like Strudwick. Beat someone up.

I often find myself laughing at the idiocy of Don Cherry, but he’s right this time. Ovechkin acts like an idiot, and it’s only a matter of time before someone pulls a Hunter and knocks him into the 12th row while he’s leaping around after a goal.

xenophobic, poor old man

Yeah, act like Strudwick who has an amazing 6 points and doesn’t know how to score… Sure, he’s probably will get nailed but he can take care of himself, unlike crybaby Crosby. Who cares if he doesn’t like it? Sid isn’t the be all and end all of hockey.
I love Ovechkin’s style. It energizes his fans and teammates and tries to stick it to the opponent’s. Hockey’s a mental game as much as it is physical. I don’t see Ovie mouthing off at officials and really digging in players. He’s having fun and if any of you knew what that meant, this argument wouldn’t be occurring.

Believe it or not, I like Don Cherry. He is like a Bible, you can find anything appropriate for your occasion.
Coach’s Corner, with Don Cherry and Ron MacLean for Saturday, February 28.
This time he defends his fellow countryman Crosby. Thanks for the effort to scare Ovechkin and Caps fans, Mr. Cherry. Some big defenseman waiting around the corner for Ovechkin, how scary! You are pathetic just saying this, Mr. Cherry. I can tell you this, two or three big d-men are waiting for crybaby right now, how’s that?
Ovechkin is bigger than you, Mr. Cherry. He is bigger than anybody else before him. He will win the Olympics in Vancouver and this is what is behind Cherry’s rants. Cherry is scared. And he should be. Ovie is coming after you. And no Henderson will help you this time.
You know, I’ve been worried for Ovie for quite some time, but then I realized this guy can take care of himself. “Count on God, but take care of yourself,” that’s what the old Russian proverb says. And Ovie does just like that.
Eff you, Don, and see you next time.
