Downie With Another Suspension

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … The American Hockey League today announced that Norfolk Admirals right wing Steve Downie has been suspended indefinitely, pending league review, as a result of his actions in a game at Hershey on Feb. 28.

Downie was assessed a game misconduct under AHL Rule 41.1 for physical abuse of an official.

Shocker.

When does he run out of second chances, I wonder?  There is a point when a person stops being “young and stupid” and is just plain stupid.

Until there is video, I do not think you can judge.  Quite frankly, he could have, like he said, swung for the puck and missed.  Quite frankly, it seems like his reputation is the reason why he got suspended
