Ducks Recall 8 Players from AHL

The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled centers Tim Brent, Ryan Carter and Petteri Wirtanen, right wingers Mike Hoffman and Bobby Ryan, defensemen Brian Salcido and Clay Wilson and goaltender Gerald Coleman from the Portland Pirates, Anaheim’s primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Itlan—the Ducks did actually date their Press Release for today, hence the confusion.

Too bad Drew Miller didn’t get a callup.

Anyway, Portland is out of the playoffs and there is no roster limit or salary cap in the playoffs, so why not bring those that deserve it up.

To above poster, as noted in the plank notes:
- After the game, Joe Motzko and Drew Miller were recalled to Anaheim. They will meet the team in Minnesota as the Ducks prepare for game four of their playoff series with the Minnesota Wild.

He was called prior to these guys coming up.
