DUI For Clowe

Los Gatos police arrested San Jose Sharks left wing Ryane Clowe early this morning on suspicion of drunk driving, officials said….
“I am embarrassed by what happened but take full responsibility for this regrettable mistake,” Clowe said in a statement released by the Sharks. In it, he apologized to his teammates and fans for the incident. Clowe also noted that he violated a team policy on drinking and driving that says the team will reimburse players for the cost of a cab if they drink too much to drive.
Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson issued a statement saying that while the organization is “extremely disappointed,” Clowe “has stepped up and acknowledged that he made a serious mistake and is preparing to take responsibility for his actions.”
