It is the start of a long holiday weekend here in the States and we hope everyone celebrating Independence Day has a safe and enjoyable holiday.
We will be here all day covering the latest hockey news, signings and trades that may come about.
And no, we are not getting paid double-time!

thanks Paul and everyone for a central clearing house of up to date information. this is great for the US fan who does not live in a “hockey market” and otherwise would not be able to keep up with the deals and signings. not to mention all the comical creations of the blogs and readers.

In case you haven’t caught this, European Hockey.net is reporting Jagr’s signing with Omsk as confirmed and here is what I get through web translation from the web site of Avangard Omsk “On July, 4th general manager ХК “Avant guarde” Anatoly Bardin has concluded the contract under the scheme «2+1» with one of the most productive attacking NHL Jaromir Jagr.”
