Funny, those are the numbers I’d been waiting to see.  How astoundingly-low they are, even knowing what a dolt Eklund is.

3.1% accuracy.  Just, wow… and people stupidly pay for his site.

Not to defend him in any way, because I’ve been around to witness the lies and fraudulent behaviour of this guy from the beginning, but is there a point of comparison to validate these numbers?  What I mean by that is to compare him to say a Bob McKenzie!  Without that the numbers are pretty much meaningless!

I know I’ll get ripped on, but I’m just saying!

You are missing the point!  Yes, anyone who pays to subscribe to that site is just as big of an idiot as the author himself.  My point is that such a big deal is being made that he only has a 3% accuracy.  How accurate is McKenzie or Dreger or any other “insider” who puts rumours out there!

There’s no doubting that the guy is a douche.  He begs for money, has been caught plagurizing, consistently gets facts wrong and lies about his identity.  However, the rumour business is about as hit or miss as it can get!

I understand what Chen is saying with a 3% correct rate, but who really cares? Tell me another rumor site that provides NHL rumors that is more acurate and I would gladly go there. I don’t subcribe to Eklund (for that matter I don’t subscibe to anything online), but at least his site provides some rumors whether true or not at least it gives you something to talk about in the off-season. This site while informative does not do anything to provide me with rumors, except what newspaper writers (most who have no clue whatsoever about hockey) think are rumors. How many of Bruce Garrioch (sp) rumors are correct?

I like rumors, the vast majority of rumors he posts are not from ‘sources’, he makes them up.

Remember the Ovechkin to Nashville rumor and many others?

If he had his pulse on the rumor business, he would have been all over the Heatley one from today.

But wait, in the next few hours, his sources will tell him all about it.

He either gets that information off the web, but doesn’t credit his source, thereby creating a aura around him that he knows all or he makes it up, simple as that.

Go ahead and keep believing him, you are the type of fan he is after.

Major difference is that Bob McKenzie is using his real name, and reporting rumors etc. under that name so he stands behind what he says and can be held accountable.

Who is “eklund”, he plays off the anonymous blogger routine and spits out garbage that you of course don’t hear anywhere else by people like McKenzie because he wouldn’t want to look like an ass.

If Eklund started blogging under his true identity im sure you would see alot of his garbage rumors drop, but he wont because he is only looking for page hits and money.
