“I have to admit I (as coach of the Boston Bruins) lost twice to Montreal in the finals and lost again to Montreal in the semi-finals seventh game in overtime but maybe Ron (MacLean) is right because since (Burke) has been with the Leafs he hasn’t lost a playoff game.”
-Don Cherry of Hockey Night in Canada. More on the Burke/Cherry feud that seems to be escalating from Joe Warmington of the Toronto Sun.

... and this is why you don’t waste time starting stuff with irrelevant dudes in the media. Now on top of it just being a distraction, Cherry’s making Burke look like a dolt.
Which, considering it’s Don Cherry doing the dolting, makes it twice as embarrassing.

If Ron Wilson said he’d compare his record to Cherry’s, then, Cherry is replying to that’s him.
I think the “(Maclean)” part is wrong, it should be (Wilson);whomever typed that up made an error.
