Every Day Gets Better For The Islanders

from David Kolb at MSG Network,

Fans on the Isle were ready to jump ship.
Early on in the free agency period, the Isles lost Ryan Smyth, Slava Kozlov, Richard Zednik, Tom Poti and Jason Blake.

“Jon Sim is an aggressive, hard-working veteran forward with good offensive skills who fits in perfectly with Ted Nolan’s system,” G.M. Garth Snow commented.
Yes, it’s true, Sim does fit in, but it wasn’t the bounce-back splash Isles backers were hoping for.

Slava Kozlov? I mean, he got the last name right at least… It sometimes amazes me how guys who right for big sites don’t actually read their own material for mistakes like that… Especially when it’s the MSG Network, which covers the Devils, Isles, and Rangers regularly.

MSG never says nothing bad about those three teams. wow islanders are real contenders with jon sim, bill gurien and Mike Comrie.

Jon Sim is a stealing money, bill gurien is just collect other paycheck and comrie cant nothing since he’s #1. the reason why comrie was good last year because he had beaker(alfie) on his team

Losing Blake was the biggest blow.  If not for that the Isles would still have a good chance of making the playoffs.
