With the launch of the new Kukla’s Korner website design, I want to quickly point out a few of the new-and-improved features of the site:
- KK’s new design is meant to be easy to navigate around. Using the nav bar above, visit the Home page to see everything published on KK all in one handy spot, or go to Blogs to check out each blog individually.
- One of our priorities has been to speed up page-loading time on the site, and that has been improved drastically—it’s now rendering about 30-50% faster than before. This will allow readers to navigate from page to page much quicker than in the past.
- Mobile device users will particularly benefit from the faster page loads, but also from the improved page rendering. Bottom line: the content you look for when you come to the KK site via your smartphone will now appear much higher on your screen, and much cleaner than in the past. Appearance on iPhone:

As always, there are other ways to get the latest KK headlines if you’re on the run and can’t visit the site. Use our subscribe page to grab the feed to put in your favorite blog reader. Or follow the KK Twitter feed which automatically grabs our headlines throughout the day to keep you up to date with the latest news.
There may be small glitches in the coming days as minor issues get worked out, and please let us know if you wish to bring any concerns to our attention. We’re always very grateful for the feedback.
Thanks to everyone for your patience during this transition. We’re looking forward to a great hockey season!

Thanks for all the compliments on the new site, everyone. It’s hard to know how things will turn out while enduring the day-to-day decisions of a new design. But now? Personally I’m just thrilled with the results.
If anyone needs a web designer, we can’t recommend Kevin at Venn strongly enough. Very patient and accommodating. Hell… he’s been tolerating my whining for months!

Good job on the seamless rollout. I’m not sure how long you guys were actually down for but as far as I saw, you were there and now you’re here!
Website redesigns are fun but tiring. Hopefully everyone involved sleeps well tonight.

Oh Snap!
And even more blogs join the Empire. Congrats Paul & Alannah (who by the way wins many points for using “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” avatar)
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to go see how the Chief is doing with the new fangled look…

Doesn’t everyone know Hitchhiker’s Guide to the
Galaxy? Or is it just us nerds? ![]()
Looks very nice. Extremely easy to read.
(Now if someone comes up with a little graphic from Red Dwarf, I will really be impressed - and probably a little scared that I recognize it!)

Actually, I kind of missed the “Recent Posts” section of the previous edition of KK.
Maybe it’s just me but it was useful in finding newly entered posts by everyone.
