from Daniel Carcillo as told to Steve Greenberg of the Sporting News via MSNBC,
Here are his 10 tips for surviving and thriving as a middleweight fighter…
Even a bleeder has to have thick skin
I know hockey fights supposedly are about showing up — not who wins and who loses — but when you get beat up, it’s pretty tough to swallow. It’s embarrassing, especially when it happens in front of 18,000 people and the 40 guys on both benches. Bouncing back is the biggest thing. It’s like being a closer in baseball.
Update 3:18pm ET (alanah): Just a quick FYI about this article—bear in mind that it was originally published back in May. MSNBC picked it up without noting the original publication date.

Just in case this story rings a bell for regular KK readers, Alanah pointed out to me this morning that I had posted the same story when it first came out back in late May.
Sorry for the repeat, but it is hard at times to remember everything that is posted here.

Kukla’s Korner is always a free service for readers, but it costs some money to maintain. If you’re ever in a position to donate a few dollars to help out, we’d be very appreciative.

He seems to have some good perspective on what he needs to work on, i.e. picking his spots and keeping his cool when it’s unproductive. It’s too early to say if he’ll score 30, but being a 20/200 player, in the post-instigator era, would be pretty impressive.
