Finally, if Glendale fails to secure a new partner by the end of 2009, the leading contender for relocation is Kansas City, which already has a sparking arena (Sprint Center) clamoring for an anchor tenant.

Well, I guess the NHL is now in the business of saving arenas from being empty, which is obviously their responsability. You want an NHL team? Just build an arena and the league will be morally obligated to occupy it! Peachy!

A “sparking arena” sounds like a fire hazard to me. No wonder teams won’t go to K.C.!!!!
