via the Flames PR department…
OLLI JOKINEN STATEMENT
“I disagree with the League’s decision to suspend me for three games. I believed from our discussion this morning that there was an understanding that my intent was not to injure and circumstances that resulted in my stick going higher then expected. While I am upset with the ruling, I will abide by it and serve my three games while preparing to help my team when I return. I will have no further say on the matter.”
CALGARY FLAMES STATEMENT
“We are very disappointed that the League has ruled this incident worthy of a three game suspension for Olli. However, we respect both the review process and the League’s decision.”

How can you disagree with any suspension when you lay the wood across a guy’s chops? Pretty obvious.

The time is ripe to criticize any discipline the NHL hands down, even when it’s obvious. Campbell is a liability to the league.

Clearly a suspension was warranted, but 3 games when other guys walk or get less for blindside hits/hits from behind? I’m not getting the logic here, NHL. Help a brother out…

While I am upset with the ruling, I will abide by it and serve my three games Instead of just playing anyway, and ignoring it?
