Holy moly, Dale Tallon’s gone nuts, per TSN’s Bob McKenzie:

The Panthers had to increase their payroll by $18 mil to reach the Cap floor.
No suprise at the amount of the deals they have signed today.
They may have spent a lot of money today, but they didn’t buy a lot of talent.

This isn’t even funny anymore. I know I’ve been hard on Kenny Holland for the Ericsson deal, but at least he hasn’t lost his damn mind…..yet.

$4,500,000 per year for a player described by the Hockey News as “Versatile scoring forward who plays a soft game…tends to lose several puck battles in the corners”
That type of players gets you far in the playoffs.
