from the Philadelphia Flyers,
The Philadelphia Flyers announced today that they have agreed to a two-year contract extension with 5’10”, 185-pound forward Sami Kapanen, according to club General Manager Paul Holmgren. Kapanen is now signed through the 2008-09 season. Per club policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.
“We are excited about having Sami around for a few more years,” said Holmgren in making the announcement. “We feel that he brings a lot of qualities to our hockey team in terms of what he does both on and off the ice. He is a quality person and he’s a good utility player who can play anywhere in our lineup.”
