Flyers Increase Ticket Prices

from the Courier-Post,

The Flyers announced Wednesday they will raise ticket prices for the first time in six years next season, with increases ranging from $1.75 per ticket in the nose bleeds to $7 per ticket in the lower bowl.

The average ticket price will increase from slightly less than $55 to right around $60.

The biggest increase will come on the 168 front-row seats that ring the ice.

Those tickets, all owned by season-ticket holders, will jump from $73 to $175 and will include a $25 gift card good for food, beverages and concessions.

Wow.  A $100 per seat per game ticket price increase.  What a truly classy way to treat your season ticket holders, especially considering most of them are probably long time seat holders.  And don’t assume these seats are owned by big corporations.

Those front row seats will only be $150 per game if you promise not to bang on the glass. And starting next year, there also will be a $50 per game “license” required by anyone who wants to stand up and wave to mommy at home…$75 if you want to talk on your cell phone while doing it.

Well, that’s the way it should be anyway. grin
