Flyers Lose 5-2, Point To Blown Call

from the Philadelphia Inquirer,

If the Flyers miss the playoffs by two points, they may blame a blown call in last night’s 5-2 loss to the Buffalo Sabres at the Wachovia Center....

Buffalo center Tim Connolly had not gotten off the ice when Roy was virtually on top of goalie Marty Biron.

“They had five guys on the ice by 60 feet,” Flyers coach John Stevens said, fuming. “Their fifth guy was the guy at the far blue line. . . . It’s unbelievable. They totally missed the call. . . . I don’t know where Roy came from. I thought it was a missed change . . . just a totally blown call.”

One blown call caused them to lose by 3 goals?

Huh?

I imagine the game was 3-2 and Buffalo scored on the play in question, making it 4-2 and the last goal was an empty net. Not familiar with the game, though. Also not suggesting that this is really a call losing the game, but it makes it seem closer than the final score this way.
