from Chuck Gormley of Flyer Files,
In the final installment of Danny’s Diary, Flyers center Danny Briere takes you through the congratulatory handshake line following the Flyers’ seven-game, first-round playoff victory against his former team, the Buffalo Sabres:
It was a huge relief to get by Buffalo, no doubt about it. These guys played us hard and made it really tough on us. We said at the beginning that Ryan Miller might steal a couple games, which he did. It was a little close for comfort for my liking, anyway, so last night was a huge relief to get it done.I really enjoyed how, once again with everything on the line the last two games, we really stepped it up the last five periods. We really took charge there. As much as they tried, they couldn’t really keep up with us. They gave it all they had, which was impressive. But it was nice to see on our side the desperation we played with in the last couple of games.
