from the Mercury News,
Just as the Sharks were supposed to begin practice Friday, they instead headed off the ice and right back to the locker room. And for two hours they talked.
At the prompting of General Manager Doug Wilson, the players held a closed-door, marathon meeting without the coaches present as they tried to sort out why a trendy pick to compete for the Stanley Cup continues to perform below expectations.
Consider this your official confirmation: Nobody is happy in Sharksland….
Nabokov and several other players declined to give specifics about what was said. But they indicated that Doug Wilson talked to the team first and then the floor was opened for the players to speak their minds about a team that has been inconsistent and sometimes lacked competitive fire.
