from Adrian Dater of the Denver Post,
After nearly three years since playing his last NHL game, Peter Forsberg will be back in the lineup tonight for the Avalanche.
Forsberg will skate at left wing on a line with Matt Duchene and Milan Hejduk in tonight’s game against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
“I’m excited — and nervous,” Forsberg said, after taking part in the morning skate with teammates at Nationwide Arena. “I don’t know how it’s going to go, but I’m going to be skating with two great players, so hopefully they can help me out a little bit out there.”

What do you care?

What the hell, if you think Forsberg is pathetic, you’re not a hockey fan. If he can help the team and draw fans, what’s wrong?

Laugh if you want, and I will of course because it’s Colorado, but if his foot is healed enough to skate, and he can remain healthy, he’ll be playing along Hejduk and Duchene on top line getting big minutes. Possibly be a PPG player. Not that it will help a play-off push as Avs are kinda too far out of the picture. No more foolish than 40 year old Modano in Detroit.

If he can help win games then why not? I’m definitely not an Avs fan, but, I can see the value of a competitive 80 to 90% healthy Foppa. Stranger things have happened.
Lets Go Red Wings!!!!!
