Franzen ‘Runs’ Lilja

from Ansar Khan of Mlive,
He’s been practicing with the team for months, but Detroit Red Wings defenseman Andreas Lilja hasn’t had any contact. Now that he sees a light at the end of the tunnel—he has been headache-free for 14 days—he wanted to see how he would react to a hit.
So he asked Johan Franzen to run him after practice.
“I had Mule run me yesterday in practice. He picked up all his 230 pounds and threw it at me,’’ Lilja said. “My body hurt, but my head was really good. It felt real good.’’

Oh sweet jeebus - I was expecting to read that Franzen’s spine exploded and Lilja contracted the Hantavirus after the hit.
Maybe Lils could practice hitting Lebda a couple (thousand) times…

I think there’s still something wrong with his head.

Dub, he could hit Lebda millions of times, and Lebda would manage to stay healthy.
If there’s one good thing to say about Lebda’s game, he doesn’t get hurt…

Are we sure he didn’t sustain serious brain damage?

Dude, I just posted a hello to you in Jeff’s GDT thread. I didn’t see this before. Hope all is well with you, the family and the teaching.

Osrt! Yep, things are okay… last semester of actual classes before student teaching in the fall. My cousin’s little kid was diagnosed with leukemia just before Christmas, so my focus has been kind of away from hockey for a bit. I’m hopefully grabbing some Herm Night tickets (thanks Baroque and Jenny!) for me and the future wifey (no touching) so, God willing, I’ll finally be able to gaze upon the brilliance that is Osrt. Or something like that. Hope all is well with you, see you in the LB (after I finish my online Jeopardy contestant test!)
