If UFA winger Alexander Frolov doesn’t land with an NHL team this week, don’t be surprised if he ends up going to the KHL, where there’s interest. He’s only 28 years old and is a two-time 30-goal scorer. Sure, he only scored 19 goals last season amid a benching from the Kings, but those 19 goals were scored from a third-line role. If I was an NHL GM needing some offense, I’d be all over this guy.

The NHL will yawn in he bolts. Even the Kings will yawn.
He is the very definition of a ex-NHL-turned KHLer. He takes shifts and entire games off, he has no defensive game to speak of, and there’s no market for him in the NHL at this point.

depends, I’m only willing to pay a 3rd liner so much and I think it’s less than what he’s looking for. His work ethic and compete level have always been an issue for him and he’s never lived up to what he’s capable of. I think mother russia would be a good fix for him.
