from the Pioneer Press,
Marian Gaborik made the biggest leap yet in his long road back from a strained groin Friday when he shot pucks for the first time in more than a month during an hourlong skate before the Wild’s 4-0 victory over Phoenix.
“I was shooting all over the place, to tell you the truth,” he said.
More important was his pain-free skating session, which included more stressful stopping and starting drills, turns and pivots. Gaborik said he hopes to resume practicing with the Wild early next week.
“I’m going like 70-80 percent, and it felt good. That’s what’s important right now,” Gaborik said. “Hopefully, I can pick it up.”
