Sather never fails to disappoint, does he? Get rid of one under-performing undersized player whose contract hamstrung you...to sign a potentially dynamic but injury riddled player to a long term deal for about the same cap hit. 7.5 million a year for five years for a guy with Gaborik’s injury history seems like a big risk…

I guess he didn’t get his 10 years. Either way, the Rangers are taking a chance. Hopefully Lundqvist doesn’t remember that 5 goal night Gaborik had on him.

They need to get Sather out of the NHL and quick...The league needs a good team in NY and he has no F-in clue. Who will be his center? Not that he will play very much. This is sad....................

For 5.75 I was saying it was good. For 7.75? An injury prone player? Really Sather? You started off getting Gomez outta here… great. Now you sign a player that’ll play half their contact…

7.5 for an injury prone player may seem like a bad idea, but just remember, when a player is on IR, they don’t count towards the cap. It will be an interesting year in NY.

The Rangers had a long history of loose purse strings way before Slats came along!

Just wow. I have no other words for this.
For the Rangers’ sake as well as his own, I hope his new unbreakable bionic groin holds up.

Yesterday, Sather gets off the hook for the horrible Gomez contract. 24 hours later, he saddles his team with the same contract, only with a far more injury-prone player. Thank God the Penguins have Ray Shero and not a moron like Sather.

Sather must found out he outbid himself for a player who will be on the IR before November 1
