Gagne Reportedly Waives His NTC

from Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer,

Left winger Simon Gagne’s days as a member of the Flyers could be numbered.

Gagne, 30, the longest-tenured current Flyer, has waived his no-trade clause, an NHL source confirmed Friday night.

The Flyers and Los Angeles have been talking about a deal, but the Kings have said they want to keep Jonathan Bernier and Jonathan Quick, two goalies that interest the Flyers.

If the Flyers sweetened the deal, the might convince the Kings to trade one of the goaltenders.

Something is missing here folks.  Normally when a player waives his NTC, he knows his destination and details on the trade.  In this instance, I don’t think Gagne would waive his NTC for all teams, so he must know what is going on, but we don’t or we are not getting the full story.
