from Pierre LeBrun of ESPN,
Once in a while, there’s a game on the NHL docket that makes your spine tingle, and that’s exactly what you’ve got tonight when the San Jose Sharks visit the Chicago Blackhawks.
Two Western Conference powerhouse teams with Stanley Cup aspirations meet at the United Center with a little recent history to spice things up. Just a little under a month ago, the Hawks blew into San Jose and pounded the hosts 7-2 at the Shark Tank, a game that had me muttering “Wow” several times from my couch in Toronto.
You know the Sharks will be a little hungry after a rare embarrassment like that on Nov. 25, and the Blackhawks are fully aware they’ll be facing a different team.
continued and for those of us that have Directv, maybe we can have a pity party since the game is on Versus, the channel we don’t get…

If the Sharks defense allows a offensively challenged Dallas team to take over 40 shots, I wonder how many shots the Hawks will get. Under McLellan’s leadership the Sharks defense has gotten worse and worse, while the offense has gotten a little bit better.
The Sharks new strategy is in the words to a bon jovi song “living on a prayer” In fact one could say this is Sharks managements strategy
“It doesn’t make a difference if we make it or not”, “Livin on a prayer”. Sounds like the words right out of managements mouth.

Who cares about shot totals? And the sharks defence is still good. The Pens and Wings were both ranked in the bottom 10 in terms of goals allowed last season, and they both made the cup final. I honestly dont care about this game cause as a Sharks fan no games they play in the regular season matter to me. They can go 0-4 vs the Hawks this year, it wont matter come playoff time.

A shark with the right perspective.
And if you don’t want McLellan, there are ton of teams who would. I’d like to have him back next to Babbles.

I don’t know why this game is so hyped, I watched the last one, and the Hawks steamrolled the Sharks…
