sigh… dunno what to say, but luongo has been very inconsistent.  One day he plays out of his mind, the next he does his best Cloutier impersonation.  My nick is starting to sound dated, like 2006-07 dated

“I have an italian made sieve for sale for cheap or will take something in trade. It has been used in my garage for a few years, but the holes are too big for the job I have it for. This Sieve will be great for families that have young kids that are learning to play hockey as it will really enhance their goal stats. All you need to do is throw a puck, a basketball, a beachball or an exercise ball at it and it will go right through it.

I would take a bag of pucks for it, but unfortunately I paid way too much for it and will be paying for it for the next 11 years.

Patrick Roy deserves some blame for Luongo’s hype. Didn’t he make some statement to the tune of “luongo is the next superstar goalie”? Famously omitting Marty Brodeur out? I recall something like this, perhaps around or at Roy’s retirement presser.

I guess everyone just went dry in the mouth and stammered like schoolgirls, and thought, “st Patrick has spoken….and it must be canonized.”

Tough crowd.  Could it be that Chicago is just better?  Canucks had a lot of defensemen hurt too.  I don’t think they are done yet.  They need to add some depth in off season, not back up the truck.
