from Pat Hewitt of the CP at Yahoo,
Damaged stars belonging to Mr. Hockey and Captain James T. Kirk on Canada’s Walk of Fame will be replaced.
And that’s making Gordie Howe’s family happy….
Marty Howe told The Canadian Press earlier this week he was sure his father didn’t know his plaque, installed in 2000, had been damaged.
“I’m sure he and the rest of the Howe family would like to see the plaque fixed,” the younger Howe said.
On Friday afternoon, he was pleased to hear the plaque will be switched.
“That is great. I will let Gordie know the good news. Shows you the power of the media. Thanks for letting me know,” he said in an email to The Canadian Press.
