Hearing Set For Pronger

The National Hockey League has scheduled a disciplinary hearing for later today with Anaheim Ducks defenceman Chris Pronger.
The fact that a hearing will be held does not guarantee a suspension will be handed out, but it does officially open up that possibility.

If I was voting or on this jury I would say I would vote for the Gas Chamber or Electric Chair, either way the league better make the right call or this will send a very wrong message and set a precedent no one wants…

Just an aside, the radio voice of the Red Wings Ken Kal, speaking on WXYT Detroit radio today said that one Scotty Bowman was at the game last night, and afterwards was seen lobbying the NHL conduct representative, presumably about the hit on Homer.

There is no way Pronger will be suspended. Beaucheman or O’Donnel would be suspended in a similar position, but not a top tiered defenseman. Politics will play a roll in this one.
