Wow, it’s like those words were taken right out of my mouth. So, so true.
I remember walking to in the old Pullar building up here in the Soo (the Wings held traning camp here in the fifties, and pics of Howe and the gang from those days adorn a few walls in local sports bars) and smelling ‘that smell, feeling ‘that crisp air’, hearing ‘those sounds’.
And you know, hockey will never catch on in the US until more people feel that way, and get so much satisfaction out of something so seemingly small. That’s why Bettamn’s job of creating a larger fan base in the U.S. goes way beyond just planting teams in south Florida and Georgia.
Anyways, it’s good to see you get your due, Paul. This site is a “must see” for many of us on a daily basis.
