The Solution: Chad Larose, Mikael Samuelsson, Erik Cole…

Biggest Need: Overloaded with too many fancy dancers who’d rather avoid contact than drive the net to create a chance, they’re desperately in need of a fearless power forward presence.

Biggest Need: A spiritual makeover

The Solution: ...Mikael Samuelsson…

If they sign Sammy, the only “spiritual” thing going on will be the prayers being said by whoever is on Sammy’s power play shift. He’s a lot of fun to watch, he’s a quality guy and he has a booming shot, but no one, not even Sammy, knows where the hell that shot’s going.

Just a friendly note to the Sharks: If Sammy’s on your line, the safest place on the ice when he shoots is always right in front of the net. smile

Detroit Red Wings

Biggest Need: A $60 million salary cap.

The Solution: Bring up Darren Helm in October instead of April.

Finally read the whole article and this is too funny. Bring up Helm in October? Does this guy read what coaches say. Speedy (as well as Jonny the Giant) is a lock to be in Detroit (actually Sweden) when the season begins next October. But he is right about the $60M salary cap. That extra $3.2M would be a big help.

Samuelsson to the Sharks?

I hope for their sake he doesn’t break any of his new teammate’s jaws - but they would have the money to pay him, and it isn’t as though the coach is unfamiliar with him from his previous job.  I don’t know about a “spiritual makeover” via Sammy, but I think he could fit there.
